Account & subscription

Account & subscription management

Registration requires only a username and password; no email address is needed. Treat the subscription link as an account credential. For a new device or client, get it again from the user panel instead of relying on an old copy in a chat.

What do I need to register for C4VPN?

No email address is required. Create a username and password to register. Use the username to sign in to the user panel, store the password separately, and never reuse it on other websites. After registration, you can view plans, get client apps, and manage your subscription from the user panel.

How should I store my subscription link?

Your subscription link is an account access credential. Import it only into clients you use, and never post it in public chats, screenshots, or shared documents. When switching clients, copy the current subscription again from the user panel instead of forwarding a link from an old message.

Why does the client still show old routes after I update the subscription link?

Clients usually keep the route list from the previous download. Find the subscription or configuration management section, update the subscription, then return to the route list and select a route again. If nothing changes, delete the old local configuration and import the current subscription from the user panel.

Do I need to purchase another plan when I switch devices?

No. C4VPN supports unlimited devices. One account can be used on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. On the new device, sign in to the user panel, get the appropriate client, and import your own subscription. Do not share your account or subscription with unrelated people.

What should I do if I forget my username or cannot sign in?

Check the username’s capitalization, input method, and whether the password contains spaces at either end. If your browser saved old credentials, clear autofill and enter them again. If you still cannot sign in, describe the account issue through the ticket section in the user panel, and avoid posting the complete subscription link in a ticket.

To get a client again, visit the client download page in the user panel. Copy the subscription from your own account and avoid mixing it with an old configuration saved on another device.

Connections & troubleshooting

Connections & troubleshooting guide

First distinguish between local network issues, client settings, and a problem with one app. Change only one setting at a time, and reconnect after switching routes to make the source of a conflict easier to identify.

The client says it is connected, but webpages still will not open. What should I do?

Switch to another route and reconnect, then disable any proxy extensions in the browser that may conflict. Check whether the client has system proxy enabled, whether the system clock is correct, and whether the local network can access ordinary websites normally. If every route behaves the same way, restart the client and update the subscription.

Why is a particular app not using the proxy?

A common cause is that the client is using split tunneling and the app’s requests are not covered by the current rules. Temporarily switch to Global mode to test. If Global mode works, the issue is usually in the split-tunneling rules. Also check whether the app has its own proxy, dedicated network settings, or background connection restrictions enabled.

Where should I start troubleshooting frequent disconnections?

First make sure the local network is not repeatedly switching between Wi-Fi and another network, then test a different route. On mobile devices, allow the client to run in the background so the connection is not stopped during sleep. On desktop, quit other proxy tools to prevent multiple programs from changing the system proxy settings at once.

What should I do if importing the subscription reports a format error?

Confirm that you copied the complete subscription content provided by the user panel, with no spaces, line breaks, or extra punctuation before or after the link. Import methods vary by client, so get the client matched to your platform from the user panel. Do not import the page URL from the browser address bar as a subscription link.

What is the difference between System Proxy and Global mode?

System Proxy mainly handles apps that follow the operating system’s proxy settings, while split-tunneling rules choose the request path based on its destination. Global mode sends more requests through the current route. For everyday use, start with split tunneling; if a particular app cannot connect, use Global mode to isolate the issue.

Speed & routes

Speed & routes selection

Route performance depends on the local network, destination region, connection path, and app type. Low latency suits frequent interaction, while a stable connection is better for streaming, cloud sync, and sustained transfers.

What should I do if performance slows during peak evening hours?

Evening slowdowns may come from local network congestion, a busy destination service, or changing load on the current route. Try another route in the same region, then compare nearby regions. Pause bandwidth-heavy syncing, downloads, and cloud backups. Updating the subscription and selecting a route again can also prevent continued use of an older configuration that has changed.

How do I choose a route with suitable latency?

Choose a route based first on the destination region and your actual use case, then observe connection stability. Lower latency suits interactive work, development, and calls, but it is not the only measure. For continuous playback or large file transfers, prioritize a steady connection rather than deciding from a single test result.

How should I choose between direct, relay, and dedicated routes?

Direct routes have a simpler path and suit networks that already connect well to the destination region. Relay routes reorganize the cross-border path and can help when direct connections fluctuate. Dedicated routes place greater emphasis on link stability. Choose based on your current network and use case, since the same route type can perform differently in different regions.

Why does the same route run at different speeds on different devices?

Device performance, Wi-Fi signal quality, background tasks, client mode, and the system network stack can all affect the result. Connect the devices to the same network, close syncing or download programs, and compare them using the same route and proxy mode. Browser extensions and security software may also change the connection path on one device.

Which regions does C4VPN cover?

C4VPN provides 110+ countries / 210+ routes. Filter by the region needed for your content or service, then compare stability among routes in that region. Refer to the current list on the global nodes page for complete regions and route types.

What should I do when a streaming service reports the wrong region?

Confirm that the selected route region matches the content region, then fully quit and reopen the streaming app. If the app retained an old region cache, clear its cache or verify again in a browser. Content licensing varies by platform, so check the streaming page for route-selection guidance and try another route in the same region.

Billing & refunds

Billing & refunds guide

Monthly subscriptions reset traffic on the activation date, while data packages remain available until used and never expire. Before placing an order, verify the plan type, traffic allowance, and account so you do not confuse a monthly subscription with a data package.

Which monthly subscription plans are available?

Monthly subscriptions include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. Traffic resets monthly on the activation date. Choose based on your typical usage rather than the monthly price alone. If you want traffic to remain available long term, compare the data packages as well.

Do data packages expire?

Data packages remain available until used and never expire. Options include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They suit users with irregular usage who prefer to consume traffic as needed, unlike monthly subscriptions, which reset each month on the activation date.

How is a mid-cycle monthly subscription upgrade calculated?

For a mid-cycle upgrade, the price difference is prorated against the remaining days. Before upgrading, review the current and target plans in the user panel, then confirm the change. Monthly subscription traffic still resets on the activation date, and plan prices and allowances are those shown on the plans page.

Which payment methods are supported?

C4VPN supports Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. After choosing a plan in the user panel, view the available methods at checkout. Before paying, confirm the plan type, traffic allowance, and account details to avoid submitting the same order more than once across different pages.

How do I request a refund?

C4VPN offers a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, open the ticket section in the user panel, choose a billing- or refund-related issue, and submit the relevant order details. Keep your order record and do not share the subscription link publicly. Processing follows the refund policy page.

Need to review the plan details?

The plans page lists monthly subscriptions, data packages, traffic reset rules, and supported payment methods in one place.
